Compression stockings are prescribed to the patient in two cases: when the operation cannot be done yet and after the operation. In the first case, the stocking restrains venous dilation and fixes it. In the second case, you wear a compression stocking that keeps the vein in a compressed state. In 4-6 days the vein sticks together. But compression stockings need to be worn for another 1.5 months.
